Midlife women · Chirnside Park
You have spent years looking after everybody else. It might be time to put yourself back on the list.
This is for women who have reached a point where life is full, responsibilities are constant, and somewhere along the way the things that used to feel fun, interesting or exciting have become harder to find.
I want to create a space where you can start making room for yourself again through movement, conversation, creativity, connection and trying things you may have stopped giving yourself permission to do.
This is not about fixing you
It is about making space for you again.
You may be working, parenting, supporting ageing parents, running a household, managing everybody else's needs, or simply feeling like you have been responsible for too much for too long.
The aim is not to give you another list of things you should be doing. It is to help you notice what gives you energy, what you miss, what you want more of, and what might feel good to try with other women who are figuring this out too.

What I want this to feel like
Professional exercise support without feeling judged.
I'm Robyn, an Accredited Exercise Physiologist in my 40s, and I want women to feel comfortable asking questions, trying new activities and enjoying movement.
Exercise still has a purpose, but that does not mean the whole experience needs to feel clinical, serious or intimidating.
What the broader midlife program could look like
A mix of movement, creativity, connection and trying new things.
Movement that does not feel intimidating
Strength, mobility, walking, playful challenges and simple Exercise Physiology activities that help you feel stronger and more confident in your body.
Creativity
Colouring, watercolour, flowers, making something with your hands or doing something simply because it feels enjoyable.
Conversation
Talking about what has changed, what you miss, what you want to try, and what might make this next stage of life feel more like yours.
Trying something new
Small challenges, new experiences and activities that help you build confidence without feeling as though you have to be good at them.
Some things are better together
What would you try if you did not have to do it alone?
Sometimes the hardest part is not knowing what you want. It is having nobody to go with, feeling awkward starting, or convincing yourself that it is worth making the time.
This program is being designed around that exact feeling. You do not need to arrive with a goal, a hobby, a fitness plan or a completely clear idea of who you want to become next.
Movement + Exercise Physiology
Feeling stronger physically can be part of this too.
I'm an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, so if movement, strength, fitness or confidence in your body is something you want to work on, that can be woven into your support rather than treated as a completely separate part of your life.
It does not need to feel like joining a gym or starting an intense fitness program. We can make movement practical, achievable and enjoyable.

You do not need to be in crisis to want something different.
“I've lost touch with what I enjoy.”
You have spent so long being useful to everybody else that you are not quite sure what you would choose if the choice were only yours.
“I want to feel more like myself.”
You are not looking to become a completely different person. You just want more energy, interest, fun or confidence in your own life again.
“I want to try things, but I keep putting them off.”
You might want to be creative, move more, meet people, go somewhere new or simply have something in the week that is yours.
“I don't really want traditional life coaching.”
You may prefer doing, talking, moving, creating and trying things rather than sitting in a room answering questions for an hour.
Broader midlife program interest
I'm shaping this now and I want it to reflect what women actually need.
The broader midlife program will likely be a small local program in Chirnside Park with a combination of in-person connection, movement, creativity and support between sessions.
The Thursday Women's Strength & Confidence classes are available separately now. You do not need to wait for the broader program if you simply want to start moving and building strength.
If the wider program sounds like something you would want to be part of, email me and tell me what you would hope to get from it. A few sentences is enough.
Based in Chirnside Park
A small local space where you are allowed to be a beginner.
Never Too Old to Play is at 7 Meadowgate Drive, Chirnside Park, welcoming women from across the Yarra Ranges, Maroondah and Melbourne's outer east.
The front entrance currently has three steps from the footpath. The rear entrance is approached via a sloping driveway and has one step into the studio.
If you have mobility or access requirements, please contact me before booking so we can discuss what you need.
